Composer/producer Dave Lebolt offers an eclectic musical identity that blends traditional orchestration, a wide popular music vocabulary and cutting-edge alternate instrumentation and treatments.

Starting out as a NYC-based keyboardist, Dave toured and/or recorded with artists like
David Bowie, Laurie Anderson, Billy Joel, Power Station, Foreigner, Julian Lennon, Chaka Khan, Roberta Flack, as well as contributing to major film scores working with John Barry, Michel Colombier and Marvin Hamlisch.

He garnered a
Clio for Cotton’s Fabric of our Lives with partner Zack Smith, penned daytime TV themes/scores, arranged for Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s Starlight Express, and scored Jim Henson’s Emmy-nominated Song of the Cloud Forest.

Due to a long-standing interest in technology, Dave moved to the S.F. Bay Area and ended up guiding a 15 year evolution of Pro Tools and its family of products, truly revolutionizing the audio industry and garnering an Oscar for technical achievement. He led Avid Technology’s Digidesign audio division as GM for 6 years, generating double-digit growth and managing more than 800 employees and $300M in revenue.

During this time, Dave produced the Grammy-winning Turtle Island String Quartet for Wyndham Hill, along with various alt, indie, electro and hip-hop projects, including Seattle’s Glorious and work with NY-based singer-songwriter Leah Siegel.

Today, Dave is focused on film/TV composition, commercial scoring and album projects.
